My Goal
I have been teaching finance at Oregon State University for over 10 years. In 2020, I became a Certified Financial Planner to better support my students in understanding the importance of managing their personal finances.
I launched the Financial Planning Program at OSU to provide students with the education and training needed to pursue CFP certification and build successful careers in the field.
My goal is not only to help clients create sound financial plans but also to empower them with the knowledge and confidence to take control of their financial future.
My Story
I began my career in the corporate world as a financial modeler and risk analyst. While that experience opened many doors, I discovered that teaching is where I find the most purpose and fulfillment. I believe financial literacy is a life skill everyone should develop—and the best time to build that foundation is during the student years.
I'm fortunate to serve as a personal finance instructor at Oregon State University, where I help students dream, design, and build stronger financial futures. With an M.S. in Computer Science and an MBA in Finance from the University at Buffalo, as well as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, I strive to be a trusted resource for both students and individuals looking to take control of their financial lives.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy traveling, hiking, and abseiling.
